Susan and I would like to convey our sincere thanks and appreciation for the way that you handled the sale of our Vessel “Marco Polo 1”.
Your expertise in all things sailing and yachting was so evident in the way that you presented her for sale, the advertisements and the general spread of information you provided to all prospective buyers.
We had tried to sell her privately and also used three previous agents. The price you recommended and the way you went about the overall exercise was “spot on” frankly. The eventual purchasers were left in no doubt of what they were buying, and your sensible approach eventually won the day in the negotiations.
We were very happy with the outcome, and I know from subsequently dealing with the new owners, they too were pleased with the value they bought and the quality of the information and handover process.
Thank you also for your subsequent attempts to find another vessel for us, all be it without a mast! We are now fully converted to an iron main, but dearly miss Marco, our pride and joy for over a decade.
Once again, our sincere thanks and kind regards,
Firstly a declaration: we consider Peter as a friend.
In 2005 we asked Peter Robinson act as broker for the sale of our 34 foot UFO “Sojourn” and again in 2018 we asked him to broker the sale of our 40 foot Duncanson “Stealaway”. This time with his son Chay also very actively involved. In both cases dealing with Peter and then Chay has been a pleasure.
In 2005 it was sellers’ market and Sojourn sold readily.
In 2018 it would have been a buyers’ market if there had been any buyers. Advertising widely and through personal contacts Peter and Chay found potential buyers in three eastern states as well as several potential buyers here in WA. This was in contrast to the firm who had previously had the brokerage for ”Stealaway” (as a result of another transaction). “Stealaway” was sold in January 2019. Peter’s involvement in the negotiations and the management of the inspections and sea trial was deft and we are sure appreciated by both buyer and seller.
Peter is extraordinarily qualified on all matters yachting, sail or power. His advice is helpful, knowledgeable and kindly offered. We can only recommend Peter and Chay most highly.
After 12 years of happy adventurous sailing, I decided to sell my much loved 41’ Bavaria Sloop – Alegria
I commissioned Peter Robinson an RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Instructor/Examiner[rtd] and AMSA Master 24 of YACHTMASTER SALES to market Alegria.
I chose Peter in the knowledge that he has had 40 years sailing experience combined with active membership at Fremantle Sailing Club and previous membership of South of Perth, Nedlands and Freshwater Bay Yacht clubs.
He is a widely known and respected person.Peter achieved the sale of Alegria after 2 months of listing.
I can recommend Peter as an honest, enthusiastic marketer who ensures he has full knowledge of the vessels listed and is in tune with prevailing market conditions.
We selected Peter Robinson as broker for our Hanse 461 AntEater Blues, because we had known Peter for a long time and we highly regarded his reputation in the marine industry.
Peter diligently marketed our yacht and helped bring a successful sale to us. We would happily use Peter again for future yacht broking services.
Thankyou Peter for the very professional service in selling my Bavaria 38 yacht Elysee. Clearly yachting expertise is a big advantage in helping both the buyer and seller.
